Trend Watch: Best Behavior is bang on trend for S/S 11!

So we've seen the delights that New York had to offer this September and London definitely didn't disappoint with an array of amazing looks last week for Spring/Summer- So now that Milan fashion week is well on it's way... I think it's time to take stock of all these lovely trends!
Leather is going to be a massive trend for S/S 11, with Burberry Prorsum showcasing some beautiful leather pieces including a couple of quilted leather jackets that are sure to be at the top of everyones spring wish list!
Pleated skirts look set to be a hit, with Nicole Farhi and Jonathan Saunders both picking up on this preppy school girl trend!
Another clear trend that we have seen on the catwalks is bold prints in a range of bright colours- In Milan, we noted Prada taking a risk with playful and vibrant prints whilst Etro decided to concentrate on detailed prints that had a 70's feel.
Here at Freewheelin HQ we have noticed 'Best Behavior' have also picked up on a number of the major trends with their next collection! The super stylish danish brand have a great range of fluid prints in their spring/summer 2011 line, following a vivid colour pallet of eye popping coral's and vibrant greens teamed with a muted grey. Best Behavior have also got a number of plush leather pieces including a cropped grey biker jacket that will rival Burberry's versions for sure!
Phew! What an exciting Spring/Summer it's going to be! And lets not forget that we still have Paris to look forward to!

Scared But Fresh @ Orange Dot gallery

Orange Dot gallery presents a new exhibition by artist Mathew Rose.

Matthew's installations, massive 1000-piece wall-to-wall-to-wall displays of individual collage works reinvent the process of reading. His recent exhibitions "Spelling With Scissors," "The Whole Truth" and "Confessions" brought together the artist’s immense visual and textural vocabulary in what one critic, Richard Brown, cited as 'a dadaist exploration of sense and nonsense.'

The Orange Dot Gallery, London
Exhibition: 6th October 2010 – 31st October 2010

LFW: Tuesday's fashion adventures

Oh what a night...

It all kicked off at
Tatty Divine with everyone celebrating the new fabulous collection. The Wild West theme was a hit with dancers putting on a show and contemporary skiffle band, The Severed Limb got everyones feet moving to their country twang/rockabilly twist sounds!

The Severed Limb

We then strutted down to
Beyond the Valley for some more celebrations. Spotted some beautiful clothes and accessories from brands such as Goodone, Haberdash House and Something Else. It's a haven! We'll definitely be popping by again...

Georgous jewellery!

Our last and final destination of the night was
Aqua which hosted the party celebrating Rev Run's new foot wear with FootLocker. The drinks were flowing with champagne, cocktails, wine and beer on the tab (no wonder we're feeling a tad delicate this morning), delicious canapes were served and tunes by Tim Westwood and Mark Ronson had everyone hitting the dance floor hard!...The main man Rev Run arrived and hit the decks- that's when the real party started. The likes of Paloma Faith, Roisin Murphy, Amber Rose...(the list goes on and on) were all in high spirits as they danced to the Westwood/Ronson beats ... Here's a few flicks of the night, but pictures alone don't do it justice...

Tim Westwood doing what he does best

Mark Ronson steps in to spin the decks

THE REV RUN!

End of the night captured our vision perfectly and it was definitely time to stumble home, rest up and be ready for Wednesday's fashion adventures!

Slingshot London's PCF Campaign

The history of the French Political poster dates back to the Forties, these works of art were created by the leading creative practioners of their time, with artists including Pablo Picasso providing artwork for the PCF political party. Present day and Sunil Pawar was charged with the task of carrying on this strong graphic lineage by giving a nod to the slick graphic style of these classic posters, but to create artwork that was relevant today, for this a series of four posters were created. These posters have appeared on streets all over France.

Folk Launch

Last night was the launch of Folk; a casual menswear brand which started up in London in 2001...and has since expanded into Shofolk, footwear collection for men and women. It's simple, everyday clothing with subtle and innovative detailing...what's not to like?

LFW: Lucy in Disguise Shop Launch

Last night was full of fashion adventures. Us Freewheelin girls mapped out our tracks for the hot parties we wanted to hit. Starting with the Launch of Out of Town...

The bar/cafe/shop was everything it was hyped up to be, people were lapping up the vintage memorabilia, the cheeky bev and the delicious organic bites went down a treat!...Here's how it looked...

Then it was on to the next...Launch of Lily Allen and Sarah Owen's Vintage shop, Lucy in Disguise. The champers was flowing, serious shapes were being cut on the dancefloor and best of all, the glamorous vintage finds being stocked left a lasting impression- we'll definitely be heading back there to pick up a gem!

Left the launch, feet killing us at this point (picking out the highest heels definitely wasn't a good idea)...but had to power on to the next...Eat Me magazine party. Jalous in Hanover Square hosted the party...

At this point, we wanted to take our shoes off, get some chips and hit the sack! Great start to LFW...Keep track of the Freewheelin girls fashion adventures through out LFW right here!
