All the Goss from Sundance Film Festival!!!

EVERYONE'S WEARING WOOLRICH AT SUNDANCE!!

So it's been a while since I posted... I do apologise... but what pulled me out of my slumber was all the excitement from the Sundance Film Festival! Celebs, Film, Gossip and most importantly... Fashion!

After all the glitz and glam of the Golden Globes I turned my attention to cold and snowy Utah for The Sundance Film Festival. In such extreme weather, it would have been easy for even the most stylish celeb to admit defeat... but there was a saviour in the form of the Woolrich Arctic Parka. What could be the better choice to avoid losing your limbs to the cold while keeping a hold of your style credentials... No wonder it was all any of the celebs were seen wearing...

Zoe Kazan, Malin Akerman and Kristen Stewart

Jon Hamm, James Franco and Sam Taylor-Wood

Kate Mara

From Mad Men's Jon Hamm to The Watchmen's Malin Akerman... it really is a brand to suit all. Who wears it best? Personally I think the rather dishy James Franco, rocking the dishevelled look in his Woolrich shirt and designer shades looks pretty good but you decide...

Ciao for now!

SS10 Showcase

Press Day Time!! Opening night of our SS10 showcase for Woolrich Woolen Mills all went according to plan... after a stressful week of preparation. Guests sipped on champagne and munched on some very yummy sushi and were free to browse the collection. We also featured an exhibition on Woolrich History with some vintage items supplied courtesy of Beyond Retro. Check out the photos below...

Bow Tie Madness

It hasn't gone unnoticed that the only accessory worth sporting in menswear at the moment is the quintessential bow tie. Once reserved only for the dinner suit and special occasions, it is having somewhat of an urban revival of late with new styles emerging in prints, checks and tartans and designers teaming the traditional item up with the more casual attire of chinos and softly tailored blazers.

With Celebs, both male and female, in Britain and across the pond, sporting the latest trend it was only a matter of time before it took off. It started with a picture of our very own Doctor Who - Matt Smith - looking  particularly English Gentleman in a tweed blazer complete with elbow patches and traditional wool bow tie. Never one to take the traditional route when it comes to fashion, Kanye West styles up his dicky bow with a distinctly suave urban get up and our prize for best dressed schoolboy goes to Gossip Girl's painfully stylish Chuck Bass - showing how the preppy Manhattan look is really done. Even the girls are in on the act with Dolce and Gabbana's androgynous trousers suits.

Personally we lean towards the traditional heritage looks and where better to get a hold of the ultimate accessory in quality fabric and retro plaid patterns than the Autumn/Winter collection at Woolrich Woolen Mills. In both a red and black and green and black colour-way these bow ties are the perfect addition to any stylish wardrobe. Hey while you are at it, you can even pick up a cord blazer from the collection and capture the heritage look perfectly.
